You gain the following benefits.

Ability Score Increase. Increase your Strength or Dexterity score by 1, to a maximum of 20.

Warding Strike. While you are wielding a sword you are proficient with (shortsword, longsword, greatsword, rapier, scimitar) and are hit by a ranged attack which you can see, you can use your Reaction to add your Proficiency Bonus to your AC for that attack, potentially causing it to miss. You can use this Reaction a number of times equal to your Proficiency Bonus and regain all expended uses at the end of a Long Rest.
