You gain the loyalty of a Tough. The Tough is Friendly to you and allies and obeys your commands. It leaves if you die.
In combat, the Tough acts during your turn. You can take a Bonus Action to command it to take an action, otherwise it takes the Dodge action. You can also sacrifice one of your attacks when you take the Attack action to command the Tough to take the Mace or Heavy Crossbow action instead. If you have the Incapacitated condition, the Tough acts on its own.
If the Tough dies, you can gain the loyalty of a new Tough by expending a Heroic Inspiration. When you finish your next Long Rest, the Tough appears within 5 feet of you.
