You’ve mastered the art of keeping ships alive against all odds, coaxing performance from failing systems and improvising repairs when resources are scarce.
• Expert Technician. You gain proficiency in Tinker’s Tools. If you already have proficiency, you instead gain expertise (double your proficiency bonus) when using them to repair or modify starships and other complex machinery.
• Emergency Repairs. When a starship or vehicle within 30 feet of you takes damage, you can use your reaction to stabilize its systems, reducing the damage taken by an amount equal to your proficiency bonus. You can use this feature a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, regaining all uses after a long rest.
• System Savvy. You have advantage on Intelligence (Arcana) or Intelligence (Investigation) checks made to diagnose mechanical or arcane engine problems, identify faulty components, or understand unfamiliar ship systems.
