As a bonus action, you awaken your Umbral Veins for 1 minute.

While active, your umbral veins cast a 5ft cloud of veined darkness that reacts to hostiles, grappling them as a reaction to moving within your attack range and/or attacking you. On a failed DC 16 CON save and dealing 1d10 necrotic damage, half on a success. You gain resistance to necrotic damage and your footsteps make no sound, granting advantage on Stealth checks made in dim light or darkness.

Once per activation, you may unleash a burst of shadow through your limbs, causing your next melee attack to deal an additional 1d6 necrotic damage and briefly snuff out nearby light sources within 10 feet.

When the effect ends, lingering shadows cling to your form with an eerie aura; you have disadvantage on Persuasion checks and advantage on Intimidation checks for 10 minutes as your presence becomes unsettling.
You can use this power once per long rest as your Shifter curse deepens its bond with the night.
