If a hostile undead you can see within 60 feet knows a Language that you can speak, you can take a Reaction to make a Charisma (Persuasion) check to attempt to calm the undead. The target undead does not need to have the ability to speak the Language, but must be at or below a Challenge Rating equal to your level. The DC for this check depends on the Challenge Rating of the undead.
If the check succeeds the undead becomes indifferent about creatures of your choice that it is hostile toward and becomes Friendly to you for 1 hour. This effect ends if the target is attacked or harmed by a spell or if it witnesses any of its allies being harmed by you or your allies. If the check fails you cannot use this benefit to make another check against that undead for 1 hour.
