Those who wield forbidden magic learn to burn their lifeforce for power. Blood becomes fuel, pain becomes strength, and every spell is a reminder of the price paid.
Blood Sacrifice
You gain the following abilities:
Lifeblood Conversion
You can regain expended spell slots by sacrificing your hit points.

As an action, you may take unhealable HP damage equal to the spell slot level you wish to restore.

Example: Restoring a 4th-level spell slot costs 4 HP.

You may restore multiple spell slots at once by paying the combined HP cost.
Wounds of the Pact
Hit points sacrificed using this feat cannot be restored by:
-
healing spells
-
potions
-
class healing abilities (Lay on Hands, Second Wind, Cure Wounds, etc.)
These sacrificed hit points can only be recovered by:

spending Hit Dice during a short rest

completing a long rest
Grim Limit
If Blood Sacrifice reduces you to 0 HP, you die instantly after you resolve or finish casting your last spell that the sacrifice you meant to do.

No death saves.
-
No stabilizing.
This is known as the Great Sacrifice, feared even by necromancers.
Blood-Bound Power
When you regain a spell slot using Blood Sacrifice, your next spell gains blood-fueled potency.
Until the end of your next turn, the next spell you cast has one of the following effects (your choice):
Crimson Edge (Damage Boost)
If the spell deals damage, it deals additional damage equal to the level of the restored spell slot (same damage type as the spell).
Blood for Blood (Healing Boost)
If the spell restores hit points, it restores additional hit points equal to the level of the restored spell slot.
Only the first damaging or healing spell you cast after the sacrifice gains this bonus.
