John has long taken the role of the tank. Allowing himself to be a wall between enemy, and ally. Through trial and tribulation, his spirit and defenses have evolved to truly be a protector of his allies. The Primordial Vale has altered his body and magic, as his willpower extends beyond the reaches of his own physique and mind. He has evolved, becoming both Shield and Sword for his allies

Borrowed Strength: You gain a new way to use your Bardic Inspiration. When you target a creature with bardic inspiration, target creature gains an AC bonus equal to your charisma modifier while they hold the inspiration die. Once the target creature uses the granted Inspiration die, this AC bonus disappears until inspiration is re-applied to them in the same manner.

Phalanx Aura:  While creatures benefit from your Aura of Protection, creatures of your choosing in this aura gain a bonus to their Attack Rolls equal to the AC bonus of your equipped shield. For instance, holding a +1 shield and gaining the AC benefits from it will grant creatures of your choosing in your aura a +3 to Attack Rolls.
