Prerequisite: One eye replaced by the Raven Queen (DM approval)
You bear the living gaze of the Raven Queen. Through her eye, you perceive truths of magic, souls, and death that mortals were never meant to witness. In return, the unnatural are drawn to you.
Watcher’s Sight.
You can cast detect magic without expending a spell slot. You can use this feature a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, and you regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest. When you cast detect magic this way, the DM may require an Arcana or Religion check to interpret particularly complex, divine, or ancient magical effects.
Sight Beyond the Veil.
As an action, you can focus the Raven Queen’s Eye to perceive souls for up to 1 minute. Once you use this feature, you can’t use it again until you finish a long rest. While active, you can see whether creatures you can see within 60 feet possess a soul, lack one, or have a bound or altered soul. You have advantage on Wisdom (Insight) checks against creatures you can see, and you can perceive invisible or ethereal creatures if they possess a soul.
When this effect ends, you must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw (DC = 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Wisdom modifier) or have disadvantage on Wisdom (Perception) checks until you finish a long rest.
Mental Strain. When you activate this ability, you take 1d6 psychic damage as a splitting headache floods your mind.
Marked by Death.
Undead creatures instinctively recognize you as a bearer of the Raven Queen’s Eye. When undead are present in an encounter, they will prioritize you as a target if it is reasonable to do so. You have disadvantage on Dexterity (Stealth) checks made to hide from undead.
The Eye Remembers.
When a creature dies within 30 feet of you, the DM may reveal a brief vision, emotion, or fragment of the creature’s soul. This feature grants no mechanical benefit.
