Prerequisite: Level 4+, Dark Incarnation background or DM approval
You can release a fragment of the devastation that once tore through you. This power is not spellcasting—it is memory given shape.
Cataclysmic Release
As an action, you unleash a wave of destructive force centered on yourself.
Each creature of your choice within a 15-foot radius must make a Dexterity saving throw
DC = 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Charisma modifier
On a failed save, a creature takes 3d8 force damage and is knocked prone
On a successful save, it takes half damage and is not knocked prone
Unsecured objects in the area are violently displaced, and fragile structures may crack or collapse at the DM’s discretion.
Once you use this feature, you can’t use it again until you finish a long rest.
Aftershock
Immediately after using Cataclysmic Release, you must choose one:
Gain one level of exhaustion, or
Have disadvantage on attack rolls and ability checks until the end of your next turn
This represents the strain of restraining something that was never meant to be used safely.
