You have learned to echo a single psychic spell through your mind, forcing it to resolve twice in the same moment.
Dual Casting
When you cast a bard spell of 3rd level or lower that meets all of the following criteria:
-
The spell has a casting time of 1 action
-
The spell deals psychic damage or imposes a charm, fear, or other mental debuff
-
The spell does not have a range of Self
-
The spell does not already allow multiple castings as part of the same action
you can cause the same spell to be cast a second time as part of the same action.
You must expend a spell slot for each casting.
Each casting is resolved separately, using separate attack rolls, saving throws, damage rolls, and targets. The second casting can target the same creature or a different creature.
This feature ignores the normal restriction on casting more than one leveled spell on the same turn.
If the spell requires concentration, you can concentrate on only one instance of the spell at a time. If both castings require concentration, you immediately choose which instance you maintain.
You can use this feature a number of times equal to your Charisma modifier (minimum of once), and you regain all expended uses when you finish a Short rest.
