Dragoon Mastery

As an additional prerequisite, to gain this feat you must have proficiency with martial weapons.

Through dedicated practice, you have learned the fighting style of the dragoons. While wielding a glaive, halberd, quarterstaff, or spear you gain the following abilities:

• You Learn the Dragoon Mark ability and can use it once per turn.
  • To use this ability you must spend your bonus action to Dragoon Mark an opponent that is within your movement speed. The Dragoon Mark will fade after your next turn, if the target dies, or if this ability is used again. 

• You Learn the Dragoon Strike attack and can use it once per turn.
  • You can use the Dragoon Strike attack only as the first attack of your attack action on your following turn after a target has a Dragoon Mark placed on it.
  • During the attack your character must be able to make a high-jump, or long-jump, in a straight-line to reach a spot within 10ft of the target with a Dragoon Mark. After-which, your movement speed is 0 till the end of your turn no matter the distance traveled.
  • The Dragoon Strike is one melee attack roll that deals an additional weapon damage die roll, plus a Dragoon Damage Die roll, which is equal to 1d4. The Dragoon Die increases to a 1d6 at 5th Level, a 1d8 at 9th Level, a 1d10 at 13th Level, and a 1d12 at 17th Level.
