Legend has it that there once was a young, lonely girl, who knew little but the injustices of the world. Her closest friend was the hole in the wall, and the glimmer of light that shone through it. She would spend all her time staring out that hole, enviously watching people go about their lives below. One day, as she peered through the hole, she heard the voice of a storyteller, speaking of far away heroes and happy endings. Drawn to these tales, she began to scratch at the hole, slowly chipping away at it. The light got bigger, and brighter, and ever warmer, until finally it all came crumbling down. And on the other side of that wall? More stories than she had ever dreamed of.

Reader's Viewpoint:

Normally buried under the sands of time, your eyes are able to see long-lost secrets of the past. As an action you may touch an object, place, or even a creature and attempt a History check (DC determined by the DM) to view a brief memory of the target. Perhaps you'll spy the first time two lovers met, an argument between best friends, or a battle to the death by two rivals. The usefulness of the information gained can vary depending on the History check and DC, and at times could be useless with a bad roll. You can use this ability an amount of times per long rest equal to your proficiency bonus, however after you use this ability on a target, you can never use it on that target again.

Book Lover:

Once per long rest as an action you are able to call forth a book of your choice from the librarian's athenaeum. The book lasts for one hour, during which you have advantage on checks related to the topic covered by the book. Some examples include the Big Book of Farming, the Guide to Cooking Magical Beasts, or a Compendium of Magical Jokes.

Open Book:

Lengthy passages of text in an ancient script line your arms, legs and chest. Although normally dim and almost undetectable, these passages begin to glow lightly while reading, or using the abilities afforded to you by the Godseed. At times they might even shift and rewrite themselves, or shrink away when near fire.
