After consuming a really strong opponent with cursed gauntlets, Yuji figured out how they work. He started seeing a blue aura that was around everything. The memories of a previous owner flowed into his head, and then he got information that this blue aura is cursed energy. Cursed energy is everywhere, but no one can see it, except Yuji. As it turns out, the gloves don't suck the life out of monsters and don't work off their flesh or blood. They absorb the cursed energy of these monsters, allowing the user to use and sense cursed energy.
For every 50 points of absorbed cursed energy, he gets 1 point of permanent cursed energy that recovers after a short rest.
