Battle Caster
You have learned to enhance your spell casting with martial aptitude gaining the following abilities.
- You gain 2 sorcery points.
- You get a +1 bonus to CHA and CON scores. (max 20)
- You have proficiency with shields.
- You learn the Battle Caster's Strike cantrip.
- You learn Metamagic unique to combat when you take this feat at level 8 and again at levels 12, 16, and 18.
- You learn new abilities at levels 10 (Sourcery) and 14 (Syphon Sorcery)
Level 8
Spell's Riposte: 1 sorcery point When a creature misses you with a melee attack, you can use your reaction to cast a cantrip.
Tripping Spell 1 sorcery point: When you hit a creature with a spell attack, you can expend one sorcery point to attempt to knock the target prone. The target must make a Strength saving throw against your spell DC. On a failed save, you knock the target prone.
Level 10
Sourcery: On a short rest, You can replenish a number of sorcery points equal to your CHA modifier.
Level 12
Sweeping Spell 2 sorcery points: When you hit a creature with a spell attack, you can expend 2 sorcery points to attempt to damage another creature with the same attack. Make an attack roll against a creature within 5 feet of the original target. On a successful hit, the creature takes damage equal to your Proficiency modifier plus Charisma modifier. The damage is of the same type dealt by the original attack.
Level 14
Syphon Sorcery: Once per short rest, when your are target of a spell attack, you can use your reaction to Syphon Sorcery from the spell. You replenish sorcery points equal to the spell's level.
Level 16
Close Quarters Spell 1 sorcery point: reduce the spell range by half for each sorcery point expended. This removes disadvantage on ranged spell attacks.
Level 18
Commandeer Spell 3 sorcery points: When you make a ranged spell attack, you can expend 3 sorcery points to have the spell originate from a willing creature within 30 Feet.
