Beast Companion Mastery:

Prerequisites: Druid or Ranger only, Beast/Beast Master (or similar) paths only.

The character grew up with their animal companion from an early age, never going anywhere without the other, and through the years the bond between the two has increased beyond just the normal animal friend/companion.

The character and animal companion can speak telepathically to one another and can understand each other no matter the forms, there is no limit on the distance, however they can't commune to one another if they are in different time lines or on different planes of existence.

The character and Animal companion can always sense the direction they are from one another.

The animal companion levels as the character does.

The character gains expertise in animal handling, if they are not proficient in animal handling, they gain proficiency only.

The Character gains Advantage on All rolls that are based around animals , such as knowledge, history, and training.

Due to the characters affinity for animals over people, the character has disadvantage on all social rolls when dealing with civilized humanoids or organizations.

The challenge rating of the Animal companion can be up to half the characters level (always consult your DM first.).

The soul of the Animal companion stays with the character even after death and they will always remain with the character; A new host can be chosen for the soul of the animal companion if the character spends 4 hours with the creature that will be the new host while bonding and binding their animal companions soul to the new form. The Animals companion's stats become those of the new body, however they retain all added bonuses gained beyond base stats. (Such as levels and ability bonuses from the character and or companion.).

The Character can do Attack or Guard/Defend command as a bonus action now instead of an action.

When the Animal Companion goes before the character, or no command is given, the Animal companion will instinctively stay as close to the character as they can and defend the character and themselves.

The character can only have the one animal companion, but other animals can still befriend or follow the character as normal.

If the Animal companion dies the character suffers psychic damage equal to half the animal companions max HP or till the character would hit 0 whichever is first, the character also gets Disadvantage on all rolls except death saves until they take a long rest.

The character and Animal companion get +1 to an ability score, chosen by the character, up to 20 or racial max, whichever is greater.

While the animal companion can relay what they see, sense, smell, hear, or feel, the character can not take control or see through the eyes of their companion etc.
