Greater Grappler Image
Prerequisite: Strength 13 or higher and the Grappler (Remastered) feat

Your proficiency surpasses even most of those who focus their abilities into grappling. You gain the following benefits:

  • You have +1 to your Strength (Athletics) for the purposes of grappling, resisting a grapple, or escaping a grapple. This is cumulative with all other feats that grant this bonus.
  • You may add one of the following maneouvers every time you make a grapple:
    • Flying Tackle. You run towards your target, jump and tackle them. If you move 15 or more feet before performing your grapple check, if you succeed, both you and your target creature are Prone as well as Grappled.
    • Nose Smash. You use the hardest part of your head to bash the softest part of theirs. Instead of rolling an opposed grapple check, you force a creature grappled by you to make a Constitution Saving Throw against 8 + Your Strength Modifier + Your Proficiency Modifier. If they fail, they are Stunned until the beginning of your next round. Creatures with no head or nose to speak of are immune to this maneouver.
    • Twist Their Arm. You pull their tendons to the breaking point, but not beyond. You may use a grapple check instead of an Intimidation check. Creatures with no hands (or legs) are immune to this maneouver.
    • It's a Chokehold. You wrap your arm around a breathing apparatus and choke it out. If you succeed on the grapple check, you have cut off the creatures air supply and they begin choking (See Suffocating Rules under PHB\Ch. 8 Adventuring\The Environment\Suffocating). You must use your action on subsequent turns to maintain this hold. You may choose, when the creature drops to 0 hit point from suffocating, if they are dying or only Unconscious.
    • Pinning Rend. Rip and Tear. You break a bone, tear a tendon, saw through flesh, or shove cartilage where it doesn't belong. If you succeed on the grapple check, you cause damage as if you hit with an unarmed attack or with a weapon you are holding in your hand. Also, the grappled creature must make a Constitution Saving Throw against 8 + Your Strength Modifier + Your Proficiency Modifier. If they fail, they suffer a Wound. At the start of the grappled creature's turn, they suffer damage equal to your unarmed strike damage for each Wound they have. You may not use this maneouver more than once per turn.
    • Cuff'em. You perform a citizen's arrest. If you succeed on the grapple check, and have manacles on your person, you may apply them to up to two limbs on the target creature, disabling said hands (Escape DC 20). If there is a solid, fixed beam, hoop, or similar structure within 5 feet of you, you may manacle them to it and they are Restrained.
