Herald of Death is a feat that transforms an adventurer into an emissary of the nether realms, imbuing them with necrotic prowess and an aura of dread that strikes fear into the hearts of their enemies. This fearsome connection manifests through the mastery of dark arts, unholy resilience, and the ability to manipulate the threads of life and death to their advantage.
Necrotic Grasp. Your touch channels necrotic energy. When you hit a creature with a melee attack, you can choose to infuse the strike with necrotic energy, dealing an additional 3d6 necrotic damage and regaining hit points equal to the necrotic damage dealt. You can use this feature a number of times equal to your Charisma modifier per long rest.
Unholy Resilience. You gain immunity to necrotic damage and resistance to psychic and poison damage, and your hit point maximum can't be reduced. Additionally, you are immune to the poisoned and frightened condition.
Death's Command. Once per day, you can command the spirits of the deceased to serve you. As an action, you can raise a number of skeletons or zombies equal to 6x your Charisma modifier (minimum of 6) from corpses within 60 feet of you. These undead follow your verbal commands for 10 minutes, after which they revert to being mindless undead.
Grave's Embrace. If you are reduced to 0 hit points but not killed outright, you can choose to drop to half hit point instead. Once you use this feature, you can't use it again until you finish a long rest. Additionally, when you reduce a creature to 0 hit points, you can absorb their life force, regaining hit points equal to 3x your Charisma modifier (minimum of 3).
