Prerequisite: A strong ideal, bond, or flaw tied to compassion, duty, protection, loyalty, or deep emotional attachment.
Your heart moves like the tide. Whether born from love, guilt, responsibility, or an oath you refuse to abandon, you cannot ignore the suffering of others. Something beyond the mortal world has recognized this.
A Hydro Vision manifests — not as learned arcana, but as living water bound to your soul.
You gain the following benefits:
Bearer of the Tides
You learn the Shape Water and Spare the Dying cantrips.
Constitution, Wisdom, or Charisma (your choice when you take this feat) becomes your spellcasting ability for all spells granted by this feat.
Additionally, you may cast Shape Water as a bonus action while touching a body or surface of water.
Hydrocasting
At certain character levels you permanently gain access to aquatic magic:
| Character Level | You Learn |
|---|---|
| 4 | one additional cantrip or a 1st-level spell |
| 8 | one spell of 2nd level or lower |
| 12 | one spell of 3rd level or lower |
| 16 | one spell of 4th level or lower |
The spells must:
• deal cold damage, or
• create, summon, shape, or manipulate water, or
• restore hit points.
Examples: create or destroy water, cure wounds, healing word, frost fingers, armor of agathys, lesser restoration, healing spirit, tidal wave, water walk, aura of vitality, revivify, control water, death ward, freedom of movement.
These spells:
• Do not count against spells known or prepared.
• Can be cast a number of times equal to your Proficiency Bonus per long rest.
• Do not require spell slots.
• You may still expend spell slots to cast them normally if you have them.
Flowing Casting
Whenever you cast a spell granted by this feat:
• You may ignore material components without a gold cost.
• You may perform somatic components even if your hands are occupied by weapons or a shield.
• The spell’s range increases by 10 feet if you are in rain, mist, snow, flowing water, or partially submerged.
(Your Vision is not a spellcasting focus — it only replaces components for water- or healing-related spells.)
Healing Waters
Whenever you restore hit points to a creature using a spell:
You may grant that creature temporary hit points equal to your Proficiency Bonus.
A creature can benefit from this feature only once per turn.
In addition, when a creature with these temporary hit points takes damage, you may use your reaction to reduce that damage by an amount equal to your spellcasting ability modifier.
You can use this reaction a number of times equal to your Proficiency Bonus per long rest.
Ocean’s Grace
Water protects those it accepts.
You gain:
• Resistance to cold damage
• A swimming speed equal to your walking speed
• You can hold your breath for 1 hour
• Advantage on saving throws against exhaustion caused by extreme heat
Elemental Devotion (Restriction)
The Hydro Vision reshapes your elemental affinity.
If you gain this feat, you cannot learn or prepare spells that deal fire, acid, lightning, or thunder damage unless they come from a racial feature, magic item, or another elemental feat (such as a Pyro, Cryo, or Electro Vision).
Force, radiant, necrotic, and psychic spells are unaffected.
