Proficiency with axe weapons and DEX of 14 or higher
You have trained with axes to the point of unparalleled mastery.
While using a handaxes, battleaxe or greataxe, you gain the following benefits:
- You may use your Dexterity score instead of Strength for attack and damage rolls when attacking with an axe, if it does not have the heavy property.
- As an action, you may use your axe to cleave through any non-magical shield, destroying it to the point it no longer provides a bonus to AC. If the shield is wielded by a creature, that creature can make a Dexterity saving throw, with a DC equal to 8 + your proficiency bonus + Dexterity modifier. If it succeeds on this save, its shield is not destroyed.
