Stage 1 Boon: Blood’s Body.

Witchblood Stage 1 Boon

The Mutagenic Tincture has imbued your blood and body with some of the properties of your slain foes.

  • You gain Darkvision if your race did not already possess Darkvision. You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can't discern color in darkness, only as shades of gray.
  • You gain Advantage on Wisdom (Perception) checks that rely on sight, hearing, or smell.
  • You gain Advantage on saving throws against poison and have Resistance to Poison damage.
  • You are immune to disease.
  • For every 3 years that pass, your body ages only 1 year.
  • Your base walking speed increases by 5 feet.
  • You gain a Climb Speed equal to your Speed.
  • You no longer need to sleep if your race requires it. You can finish a long rest in 4 hours if you spend those hours in a meditative state, during which you retain consciousness.

Stage 1 Boon: Horns’ Resilience

In the traditions of the Lineage of Horns, you further enhance yourself with defensive mutations derived from the blood of fiends.

  • Choose one of the following damage types and gain Resistance to it: Cold, Fire, or Lightning. Whenever you take damage of the chosen type, you may gain Immunity to it until the start of your next turn as a Reaction, a number of times equal to half your Proficiency Bonus (round down) per encounter.

Stage 1 Boon: Claws’ Ferocity

Witchblood Stage 1 Boon

The first gift of the Lineage of Claws is a taste of the lycanthrope’s bloodlust in your veins.

When you cause a creature to become Bloodied, you may take an additional Attack action.

Stage 1 Boon: Teeth’s Cunning

Witchblood Stage 1 Boon

The Lineage of Teeth profanes your body to impart vampiric guile into the movements of your body.

  • You can take the Hide or Disengage action as a Bonus Action. If you can already take the Hide or Disengage action as a Bonus Action, you may take the action as a Free Action a number of times equal to half your Proficiency Bonus (round down) per encounter. You have an Advantage on Stealth checks anywhere that is not in sunlight.

Stage 1 Flaw: Blood’s Visage

Witchblood Stage 1 Flaw

Your mutations present outwardly, your inner transformations seeping through to your outward appearance. All Witchbloods gain the following changes in appearance:

  • Your eyes become unnaturally paler and intense in hue. Your pupil shifts to a more inhuman shape.
  • Your teeth become sharper and more pointed.
  • Your hair grows at twice its normal rate.

As well, the Boons you select begin to alter you in a similar fashion, and serve to provide greater detriment. Depending on your choice of Boons, you gain the following changes in appearance:

  • At one Lineage of Horns Boon, your nails grow in twice as thick and at double their normal rate.
  • At two Lineage of Horns Boons, your blood becomes a sickly black. If you take Bludgeoning, Piercing, or Slashing damage while Bloodied, allied creatures within 15 feet must succeed on a DC 10 Wisdom saving throw or be Frightened of you until the start of your next turn.
  • At three Lineage of Horns Boons, your sweat gains a sulfurous scent. For 1 hour following you making any combination of Strength or Dexterity-based Checks, Attacks, or Saving Throws equal to your Proficiency Bonus, you have Disadvantage on Charisma checks with creatures within 15 feet.
  • At four Lineage of Horns Boons, your general appearance subtly becomes more frightening. Creatures with an Intelligence of 3 or below initially consider you as hostile.
  • At one Lineage of Claws Boon, your hair and body hair become more prominent.
  • At two Lineage of Claws Boons, your emotions are expressed more noticeably. Creatures have Advantage on Wisdom (Insight) checks made against you.
  • At three Lineage of Claws Boons, you have physical difficulties in the water. You have Disadvantage on ability checks made while swimming.
  • At four Lineage of Claws Boons, you become more unsettling and gruff in demeanor. You have Disadvantage on Charisma (Persuasion) checks made to calm creatures or attempt diplomacy.
  • At one Lineage of Teeth Boon, your teeth sharpen and your skin loses some of its color saturation. This becomes more intense the more Lineage of Teeth Boons you possess.
  • At two Lineage of Teeth Boons, you grow more slender. You subtract 1d4 from all Charisma (Intimidation) checks that rely on being physically imposing.
  • At three Lineage of Teeth Boons, your skin becomes pallid and veins prominent whenever your body produces antibodies. For 1 hour after drinking a potion, receiving healing, or taking Poison damage, creatures with an Indifferent attitude towards you are considered to have a Hostile attitude instead.
  • At four Lineage of Teeth Boons, you develop slight fangs. When you fail a Charisma check, you take 1d4-1 Piercing damage. This damage cannot be reduced by any feature.
