Eldritch Boon: Abyssal Corruption Image

Abyssal blood does not always roar at birth. Sometimes it waits. Sometimes it sleeps for years, even generations. Then it Awakens.

A darkness coils beneath your skin, warping instinct, emotion, and flesh alike. Whether you embrace this corruption or fight it, it is now part of you.

You gain the following benefits:

Ability Score Increase

Increase your Constitution score by 1, to a maximum of 20.

Abyss-Hardened Flesh

You gain resistance to Necrotic damage.

In addition, you have advantage on saving throws against disease and the Poisoned condition.

Your body is no longer entirely mortal.

Whispers of the Abyss

You learn to draw on the dark instinct within you.

When you fail a saving throw, you may choose to succeed instead.

After using this feature, you take Necrotic damage equal to your Proficiency Bonus × 2 and cannot use this feature again until you finish a Long Rest.

Corrupted Surge

The Abyss answers moments of desperation.

When you reduce a creature to 0 hit points, or when you are reduced below half your maximum HP, you may choose to awaken your corruption for 1 minute.

While Corrupted Surge is active:

• Your melee weapon attacks deal +1d6 Necrotic damage
• You gain Darkvision 60 ft. (or +30 ft. if you already have it)
• You have advantage on Intimidation checks

Once you use Corrupted Surge, you cannot use it again until you finish a Long Rest.

Abyssal Mark

Your corruption leaves visible signs such as blackened veins, shadowed eyes, warped horns, shifting pupils, faint whispers, or unnatural body heat/cold.

Creatures with strong moral or divine sensibilities may react poorly to you at the DM’s discretion.
