Prerequisite: proficiency with Claws

You gain improved mastery using Hand Claws as weapons to deliver lethal strikes. When you select this feat, you gain the following benefits.

  • Increase your Strength or Dexterity score by 1, to a maximum of 20.

  • Hand Claws are now considered both a weapon and an unarmed strike for the sake of spell, class features or feats that would require either.

  • Hand Claws now use either a d4 or your unarmed die, whichever is higher. Additionally Hand Claws can be used in place of a Shovel for excavating dirt, or in place of pitons for the sake of scaling walls. Finally at the start of your turn as an action, you may concentrate (as if concentrating on a spell) to assume a stance with your claws better suited for quiet infiltration. For the duration, whenever you take the dash action your footsteps make no noise, you ignore difficult terrain and as a reaction to your turn starting or ending, you may leap a number of feet in a direction of your choosing equal to your proficiency bonus multiplied by 5.

  • Once per turn when you make an attack with Hand Claws, you can replace this attack with a Maul attempt. You make a contested Athletics check against your target, on a success dealing damage as if they were vulnerable with this weapon and giving them a micro-injury for the next minute. A creature with a micro-injury has a -1 penalty to Strength, Dexterity, and Constitution ability checks and saving throws. This effect stacks and may be used an amount of times equal to half your proficiency bonus.
