Prerequisite: Prerequisite: Charisma 13 or higher
You've developed a web of informants, merchants, and lower-level government officials who have been on the receiving end of your "kindness" before. You can take advantage of this resource base to help resolve any troublesome problems.
Benefits
Social Equity: Boost your Charisma score by 1, up to a maximum of 20.
The Rolodex: You receive an amount of Favor Points equal to your Charisma modifier (at least 1). You restore all spent Favor Points after completing a long rest.
Getting Help: By spending 1 Favor Point, you can ask for a favor from a contact. Your contact typically doesn't meet with you but will do something to assist you using their clout. This is useful for these actions:
| Material Subsidy |
When purchasing mundane equipment or services, you can reduce the total price by a percentage equal to 5×your Charisma modifier.
|
| Inside Information |
You can spend 10 minutes talking to locals or sending a message to a contact to gain a bonus on an Intelligence (History, Investigation, or Religion) check. The bonus equals your Charisma modifier.
|
| Bureaucratic Leverage |
If you are being detained, denied entry to a location, or facing a legal fine, you can name-drop a contact. You gain a bonus to the resulting Charisma (Persuasion or Deception) check equal to your Charisma modifier.
|
| Tactical Distraction |
As an action, you can signal a nearby "associate" (a street urchin, a bored guard, or a tavern maid) to create a distraction. A target of your choice within 60 feet must succeed on a Wisdom (Perception) check against your Passive Persuasion or be distracted until the start of your next turn, granting advantage on the next attack roll against them.
