Prerequisite: Required class: Wizard

You are overly enthusiastic.  Whenever you cast a spell that is not a cantrip, roll a d20 as your enthusiasm die.

On a 20, your enthusiasm pays off.   Your spell's effect is doubled (if not a damaging spell, the specific effect is at the DM's discretion).

On a 3, your enthusiasm for the mechanics of your spell consumes your attention.  Your spell instead targets a random viable target.

On a 2, your enthusiasm for the result of your spell causes your muscle memory to recall the wrong actions.  You instead cast a different spell from your known/prepared spells at random.  Regardless of the slot of the spell you randomly cast, this consumes one slot of the level of the spell you intended to cast

On a 1, your enthusiasm causes you to lose focus, bouncing from one idea to the next too rapidly to act effectively.  You fail to cast any spell at all.  As no magical energy was expended, you do not expend a spell lot.
