Prerequisite: Consumed a High Density Mana Core

Mana Circulatory System: Your veins act as conduits for raw magical energy. You gain a pool of Eldritch Dice, which are d6s. You have a number of these dice equal to your Proficiency Bonus + Constitution modifier. You can expend these dice to fuel the following benefits:

  • Empowered Casting: When you cast a spell that deals damage, you can expend one Eldritch Die to add the result to one damage roll of that spell.
  • Reactive Mending: When you take damage, you can use your reaction to expend one die, adding the result to your AC or a Saving Throw until the start of your next turn as a shimmering violet barrier erupts from your skin, acting like the spell Shield.

The Overload Mechanic (new): As you pushes your limits, the magic becomes harder to contain.

  • Surge: When you roll the maximum number on an Eldritch Die for an Empowered Casting, you do not suffer the Stamina Drain.

Eldritch Die Scaling: The size of the die increases as your physical form becomes more resilient to the magical strain.

  • Level 1 - 4: d6
  • Level 5 - 10: d8
  • Level 11 - 16: d10
  • Level 17 - 20: d12

The Physical Cost (The Toll): Magic is no longer a separate force; it is a metabolic process.

  • Stamina Drain: Whenever you use an Eldritch Die or cast a spell of 1st level or higher, you must succeed on a Constitution Saving Throw (DC 10 + Spell Level). On a failure, you take Lethargy; you gain one level of Exhaustion.
  • Mana Burn: If you expend your last Eldritch Die, you must make a DC 15 Constitution Save or take 1d10 Force Damage per level of Exhaustion, as the magic begins to tear at your physical vessels, and your maximum HP is reduced by the amount of Eldritch Die spent times two until you complete a Long Rest, as the magic physically stretches your veins to the breaking point.
