Prerequisite: Accepted the Gift of Boundless Ambition from the Amber Temple

Feat (Special — Given from accepting the Gift of Boundless Ambition from the Amber Temple)

You have accepted the Gift of Boundless Ambition, allowing your pursuit of power to push beyond mortal limits. You are no longer bound by what you are—you are defined by what you can become.

You gain the following benefits:

Mark for the Hunt. As a bonus action, you can mark a creature you can see within 60 feet of you for 1 minute. The mark ends early if the creature drops to 0 hit points.

While a creature is marked:

  • Once per turn, when you hit it with an attack, you deal an extra 2d6 damage of the weapon’s type.
  • You have advantage on Wisdom (Perception) and Wisdom (Survival) checks made to track or locate it.

Once you use this feature, you can’t use it again until you finish a short or long rest.

Relentless Pursuit. You can push yourself beyond your limits to seize the moment. Once per combat, immediately after another creature’s turn, you can take one additional action. This action can be used only to take the Attack (one weapon attack or one spell attack only), Dash, or Hide action.

When you use this feature to make a spell attack of 2nd level or lower, the spell does not expend a spell slot. This benefit applies only to spells that require an attack roll and cannot be used with spells that require saving throws or restore hit points.

Insatiable Drive. Your ambition demands more. You can have up to 3 Hunger Points. You may choose to gain a Hunger Point when:

  • You use Relentless Pursuit
  • You continue pursuing a clearly dangerous or overwhelming foe
  • You refuse to disengage or retreat when it would be safer to do so

Hunger Point Effects

  • 1 Point — Sharpened Instincts.
You gain a +1 bonus to attack rolls against creatures you have marked with Mark for the Hunt.
  • 2 Points — Narrowed Focus.
You have disadvantage on Wisdom (Insight) checks and Wisdom saving throws made to resist being compelled, distracted, or frightened away from your marked target.
  • 3 Points — Obsessive Pursuit.
While you have a marked target, you must succeed on a DC 15 Wisdom saving throw to willingly end your turn without moving closer to it or making an attack against it, if able.
