Flamebound Image

Flamebound: Prerequisite: Completion of the Trial of Faith (the Flame-Binding ritual) When you surrendered your pain to the Eternal Flame, it did not vanish. It remembered you. A faint sigil, warm to the touch, rests somewhere on your body. When you call upon the Flame, it answers… but never without taking something in return.

You gain one charge of Flamebound Resolve. You may hold only one charge at a time. You may expend this charge to invoke one of the following effects:

Ember of Defiance
When you fail a saving throw, you may choose to succeed instead. Cost: You take psychic damage equal to one roll of your Hit Die + your proficiency bonus. Charge resets after a long rest.

Cinderstrike
When you hit with a weapon attack or spell attack, you may wreathe it in sacred flame. Deal an additional 2d8 fire damage. Cost: You take the same amount in fire damage. Charge resets after a long rest.

Ashen Endurance
As a reaction when you would be reduced to 0 hit points, you instead drop to 1 hit point and are engulfed in the Eternal Flame for 1 minute. During this time, you have advantage on attacks, saving throws, and ability checks. Your next attack is an autocrit and you are resistant to all damage. Cost: After the effect ends, you gain a level of exhaustion that lasts 1d4 days. Charge resets after you are no longer exhausted. Can't be cleared any other means. There will also be permanent burn damage (we can discuss what this looks like)
