Lycanthrope-Cursed Image

Your exposure to a lycanthropic curse has transformed your body and instincts. You gain the following benefits:

  • Increase your Strength, Dexterity, and Constitution scores by 1, to a maximum of 20.
  • Increase your Speed by 5 feet.
  • You gain Darkvision out to 60 feet if you do not already have it.
  • You gain Keen Senses. You have advantage on Wisdom (Perception) checks that rely on hearing or smell.
  • You gain Bestial Climb. You have a climbing speed equal to your walking speed.
  • You gain Claws and Fangs.

Claws

Your claws are natural weapons that count as simple melee weapons with which you are proficient.

  • You may use Strength or Dexterity for attack and damage rolls.
  • Your claws deal 1d4 slashing damage on a hit.
  • When you take the Attack action and attack with a claw, you may make one additional claw attack as a bonus action.

Predatory Bite

Your fanged bite is a natural weapon that counts as a simple melee weapon with which you are proficient.

  • You may use Strength for attack and damage rolls.
  • Your bite deals 1d4 piercing damage.
  • While you are below half your maximum hit points, you have advantage on attack rolls made with this bite.
  • When you hit a creature that isn't a Construct or Undead with your bite, you gain temporary hit points equal to the damage dealt.

Regenerative Instinct

At the start of your turn, if you have fewer than half your maximum hit points and at least 1 hit point remaining, you may regain hit points equal to your proficiency bonus.

Once you use this feature, you can't use it again until you finish a short or long rest.

Bestial Hunger

Roll on the table below to determine your Lycanthropic Hunger.

d8 Hunger
1 Raw meat
2 Fresh blood
3 The heart of a worthy prey
4 The thrill of the hunt
5 Fear from intelligent creatures
6 Moonlight beneath an open sky
7 A color from one's appearance
8 life energy

Cursed

While you have this feat, you are cursed.

If you fail to satisfy your hunger at least once every 24 hours, roll a Constitution saving throw. The DC equals 13 + the number of days you have gone without feeding your hunger.

On a failed save, you suffer one level of exhaustion.

Exhaustion gained in this way can only be removed by a Greater Restoration spell or similar magic, or by satisfying your hunger during three consecutive days.

If you die from exhaustion gained in this manner, the curse overwhelms you and you rise as a werewolf or other lycanthropic creature appropriate to the nature of your curse, at the DM's discretion.

Moon Frenzy (Optional Upgrade)

If you want the curse to feel more dangerous and flavorful, add:

Moon Frenzy. Whenever you are reduced below one-quarter of your maximum hit points, you must succeed on a DC 15 Wisdom saving throw or enter a frenzy for 1 minute.

While frenzied:

  • You have advantage on Strength checks and Strength saving throws.
  • Your claw and bite attacks deal an additional 1d4 damage.
  • You cannot willingly move farther away from a creature you have damaged this turn.

You may repeat the saving throw at the end of each of your turns.

This version captures the fantasy of a werewolf while remaining roughly comparable in strength to the Dhampir feat: the Dhampir gains healing and spider climb, while the lycanthrope gains better melee pressure, sensory abilities, and a limited regeneration effect.
