You have hardened your body through brutal training, tavern brawls, pit fighting, or sheer stubborn refusal to stay down.
Your unarmed strikes deal 1d6 + your Strength or Dexterity modifier bludgeoning damage. This damage increases as your character level rises: 1d8 at 5th level, 1d10 at 11th level, and 1d12 at 17th level.
When you take the Attack action on your turn, you can make one unarmed strike as a bonus action.
Your unarmed strikes count as magical for the purpose of overcoming resistance and immunity to nonmagical attacks.
When you hit a creature with an unarmed strike, you can choose to grapple the target on that hit, even if you do not have a free hand.
