Folk Magic: Choppy Waters

You know an ancient melody said to stir the hearts of those who hear it.

Choppy Waters. You can sing, play an instrument, recite the old words, or even whistle the forgotten tune. As the melody carries, the mood of those who hear it subtly shifts. Tempers may cool, spirits may lift, or unease may spread, depending on the manner in which the song is performed.

When you use this feature, the DM determines how the atmosphere changes. If the performance meaningfully influences a social interaction, the DM may reduce the DC of a Charisma-based ability check by an amount they deem appropriate, or otherwise grant a situational benefit that reflects the altered mood.

Once you use this Folk Magic, you can't use it again until you finish a long rest.
