Appraisal is a feat that is very hard to come by:
For a PC to obtain it they must be born with it (roll a 100 on d100) or have it transferred to them from another appraiser.
If an Appraiser dies that skill is lost to the kingdom.
Usually, there are fewer than one appraiser per kingdom, in the entire world.
What the feat does:
This FEAT allows the skill holder to see what an opponent's level, class, and AC is, as well as all Items in their Item Box.
It will also tell them the value of any goods and the identity and properties of any item.
To notice that you are being appraised:
Automatically noticed if the appraised is10 or more levels higher than the appraiser.
IF NOT; roll INT CHK -vs- DC17
How to use it:
Roll 1d20 + WIS mod + level difference (Yours - Theirs) -VS- DC = Their level +5
Examples:
Your level 10 +2 WIS -vs- them level 5 --- roll 1d20+2 + 5 (because 10-5=5) -vs 5+5 = DC10
You level 5 +2 WIS -vs- them level 10 --- roll 1d20+2 - 5 (because 5-10=-5) -vs- 10+5= DC15
Some Monsters are born with this FEAT per DM discretion.
