You have gained proficiency with tattooists tools, and the ability to apply arcane tattoos. You can only apply tattoos of a spell level that the tattooist can cast. Initially this allows only for the creation of a version of a Spellwrought tattoo, through the use of arcanely imbued ink rather than a needle. But with practice it may be possible to develop and apply other arcane tattoos (at DMs discretion).
The process requires an arcane tattoo design and /or the specific spell scroll (or similar). The process requires an alchemical ritual to transfer the magic from the design / scroll into an ink(s). (cantrips do not require a scroll). The ink is then used to inscribe the design onto the body.
The time, cost and DC check for each tattoo will depend on the level of the spell, or complexity of the spell / ability imbued.
Spellwrought tattoos will disappear from the skin once the spell cast, however other tattoos may remain but become inactive until a specific condition is meet (next dawn, long rest etc, tattoo specific, again at DM’s discretion)
