Few survived the Bloodstone Tempering.

Beneath the barracks of Morov, a hidden cabal of war mages and alchemical philosophers sought to perfect the mortal form through bloodstone and the Weave. Those who endured the rite emerged forever changed, their flesh carrying arcane power as naturally as blood through their veins. The faint emerald fire that circles your irises became known throughout Damara as the Emerald Mark, an unmistakable sign of one who had survived the kingdom’s forbidden rites.

Though the halls where the Tempering was performed have long since been sealed and its masters brought to judgment, the rite endures within you. Magic no longer passes through your body—it is part of you. Every spell stirs the Weave within your flesh, quickening your movements and lending impossible force to your blade. To those who witnessed Morov’s greatest triumphs and darkest ambitions, your very presence is a reminder of a chapter of history many would sooner see forgotten.

The Bloodstone Tempering permanently altered your body beyond the limits of ordinary training. These bonuses represent the physical transformation wrought by the rite rather than natural ability.

You gain the following benefits:

Emerald Mark

Whenever you expend a spell slot, the Weave lingers within your body until the end of your next turn. During this time, your walking speed increases by 10 feet, and the first weapon attack you hit before the end of your next turn deals an additional 1d6 force damage.

Arcane Tempering

You have advantage on Constitution saving throws made to maintain concentration on your spells.

Flow of Battle

Immediately after casting a spell of 1st level or higher, you may move up to 10 feet without provoking opportunity attacks.
