Prerequisite: Twisted-Touched
You have learned to embrace the mutation within you without allowing it to consume you.
As a Bonus Action, you unleash your mutation for 1 minute, transforming in a way unique to you. Once used, you can’t use this ability again until you finish a Long Rest.
While transformed:
- At the start of each of your turns, gain Temporary Hit Points equal to your Proficiency Bonus.
- Your Speed increases by 10 feet.
- Each time you transform, choose Bite, Claws, or Tail. This natural weapon counts as a simple melee weapon and uses your choice of Strength or Dexterity for its attack and damage rolls.
Bite — 1d8 Piercing. Once per turn when you damage a creature with your Bite while below half your maximum Hit Points, regain Hit Points equal to the damage dealt.
Claws — 1d6 Slashing. Once per turn when you attack with your Claws using the Attack action, make one additional Claw attack as part of that action.
Tail — 1d8 Bludgeoning, Reach 10 ft. When a creature you can see within 10 feet hits you with an attack roll, you can use your Reaction to roll 1d8 and add the result to your AC against that attack, potentially causing it to miss.
Losing Control
While transformed and at or below half your maximum Hit Points, make a DC 15 Wisdom saving throw at the end of each of your turns.
- Success: You maintain control and reset your consecutive failures to 0.
- Failure: Gain 1 consecutive failure. You cannot willingly end your transformation until you succeed on this saving throw.
- 3 consecutive failures: The mutation consumes you completely. Your transformation becomes permanent, you can no longer distinguish friend from foe, and your character becomes an NPC under the DM’s control.
- If you’re healed above half your maximum Hit Points, your consecutive failures reset to 0, and you no longer make these saves unless you fall to half your maximum Hit Points again.
