Once you gain this feat you unlock the following benefits:

You gain proficiency in Animal Handling and when you make a Animal Handling check add half your class level to the normal role.

As a action on your turn you can attempt to tame larger beasts than normal size. You can only attempt to tame beast with a CR of 4 or less .When you use this ability on your turn or outside of combat you make a Animal Handling check. When you do add 2 for each level it is below 4. If you have 1-7 total level's or less, subtract 1 for each level below 8.
When it is tame you can command it as if it were a beast companion for the ranger. You can use this ability once until you but you regain all uses of it at a short or long rest.
You can also only have one animal tamed and able to fight.
