Through the generations, especially blessed members of Helm's lineage receive "The Mark". This mark's recipient is generally believed to be unpredictable. Holders of this mark are told to shape the future of The Houses of Helm, for better or for worse. The mark appears somewhere on the body of soon to be great men and women. The boys, who were both in utero during the same time, had their blessings split.
Damien, born of modest means, had his mark appear on the back of the hand, a half kite that would almost go ignored. Cai'Czar, born true, had his mark appear as a half kite over his right eye. Half marks were unheard of, and lead to a slow crawl to find the other wielder. Sifting through the houses, it took hears to find his other half.
Displacement. The brothers swap positions instantaneously. This ability has no range limitations, it only requires the consent of both parties. This ability can be used a proficiency bonus amount of times, utilizing each brother's Bonus Action to do so. This ability resets on a long rest.
Soul Subsidy. The brothers are vitally linked to one another. Whenever he or I die, both parties are reborn at the next dawn. In this process, no matter where the corpse lies, whether surfaced or buried, the bodies are risen. This ability can be used a proficiency bonus amount of times. If the number of revivals ever exceeds their proficiency bonus, the bond is broken and the deceased member remains dead.
Defensive Divinity. Each brother always has the Shield & Shield of Faith spells prepared. They can cast them a Charisma Modifier amount of times without a spell slot, and regain the ability to cast in that way when they finish a Long Rest.
