You can use your flashy style of fighting to impress the crowd. Or even win over a hostile crowd to cheer for your side instead. Whenever you make an attack roll, you can roll to make an additional performance check after your attack roll. This check has no effect on the target(s) you are currently in combat with. If the initial attack misses, the check is rolled with disadvantage. (Sometimes even missing can stir up a crowd, if you do it in style.)
The DC for this roll is at the discretion of the DM. However, your DM can use the 2014DMG pg245 section on charisma checks to determine the general response of a crowd; Depending on whether an audience is friendly, indifferent, or hostile towards you or your party.
