Species Feat (Prerequisite: Level 8+, Eliotrope (ZJ), doesn't already have an Eliotrope Elder Feat)
(Please note that this feat should only be used with my specific version of the Eliotrope species, marked with a (ZJ) at the end. Additionally, please make sure you only have one Eliotrope Elder Feat selected per character.)
Your journey through life thus far has made you wise and has allowed you to grow your capabilities with your portals, allowing you to manifest many more portals than the average Eliotrope and be more quick with their application.
Ability Score Improvement. Increase your Dexterity or Wisdom by 1, to a maximum of 20.
Enhanced Portal Manifestation. You can concentrate on an extra number of pairs of portals equal to your Constitution Modifier (minimum of one, for a total of two pairs). Additionally, Concentrating on a singular pair of portals no longer takes your action, with the exception of using your Action to summon them when you reach character level 10.
Energy Speed Boost. When using your Portal Dash, you don't lose all of the flying speed if you stop without using all of it, and Opportunity Attacks made against you while using Portal Dash are made at Disadvantage. At level 10, you can use your Bonus Action to infuse your body and senses with life energy, entering a state of enhanced speed and cognition called "The Dynamo State." While in the Dynamo State, you have the following effects applied to you:
- You automatically have the effects of the Dodge action applied to you.
- You can Dash and Disengage as a Bonus Action if you can't already
- You gain advantage on Dexterity (Acrobatics) checks and Dexterity Saving Throws
- Iyou'd take half damage from succeeding a Dexterity Saving Throw, you instead take no damage (you still take full damage if you fail).
This state lasts for 1 minute, until you take damage, or you choose to dismiss it as a Bonus Action. Once you leave the Dynamo State, you immediately gain a level of Exhaustion. You can enter the Dynamo State a number of times equal to half your Proficiency Bonus minus 3, and you regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest.
Overcharged Laser. Using your Portal Laser ability no longer costs your Bonus Action to replace one of your attacks with it when taking the Attack action. However, you can use your Action on your turn instead to overcharge the Portal Laser, doubling its range to a 60-foot line that is 5 feet wide and deal an extra 1d8 radiant damage. The extra radiant damage increases by 1d8 at levels 11 (2d8) and 17 (3d8).
