General Feat (Prerequisite: Proficiency with Smith's Tools)
Most of your smithing efforts have been focused on crafting elements of warfare. You gain the following benefits:
Ability Score Increase. Increase your Strength or Constitution score by 1, to a maximum of 20.
Forged in Fire. Strenuous hours at the forge have caused you to become acclimated with its scorching heat. You automatically succeed on saving throws against the effects of extreme heat.
Augmented Armaments. When you craft a melee weapon using Smith's Tools, you can permanently grant it one of the following weapon properties: Finesse, Heavy, or Reach. A weapon cannot have both the Light and Heavy properties.
In addition, when you craft Medium or Heavy armor using Smith's Tools, you can permanently grant it one of the following new properties:
- Bulky. If you are moved against your will while wearing Bulky armor, the distance you travel is reduced by 5 feet. Movement from being dragged or carried by a creature is unaffected.
- Cushioned. Bludgeoning damage you receive from falling is halved while wearing Cushioned armor.
- Insulated. You automatically succeed on saving throws against the effects of extreme cold while wearing Insulated armor.
