A strange bestial influence has taken root within you, allowing your body to temporarily assume the traits of different beasts. Unlike a controlled transformation, the animalistic nature that manifests isn't entirely yours to choose. Each time you transform, your body mutates according to a randomly determined Animalistic Affinity.
You gain the following benefits:
-
Bestial Transformation. As a bonus action, you can expend one use of this feat to assume a Hybrid Form. When you transform, roll on the Animalistic Affinity table. You physically develop characteristics appropriate to the resulting animal and gain all of the Animalistic Abilities associated with that affinity for the duration of the transformation. You retain your normal game statistics except where an Animalistic Ability specifically alters them.
-
Hybrid Form Scaling. Your Hybrid Form improves as you gain levels, as shown below.
| Character Level | Hybrid Bonus | Temporary Hit Points | Duration | Animalistic Affinity | Uses |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1–4 | +1 | 2 × your level | 1 minute | Roll 1d20 | 1 |
| 5–12 | +2 | 2 × your level | 10 minutes | Roll 2d20; choose either result | 2 |
| 13+ | +3 | 2 × your level | 1 hour | Roll 3d20; choose one result | 3 |
You regain all expended uses when you finish a short or long rest.
-
Hybrid Bonus. While transformed, your Hybrid Bonus applies to attack and damage rolls made with natural weapons granted by your Animalistic Affinity and to the saving throw DCs of your Animalistic Abilities.
-
Hybrid Save DC. If an Animalistic Ability requires a creature to make a saving throw, the save DC equals 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Strength or Dexterity modifier (your choice when you transform), replacing any fixed saving throw DC listed in that ability.
-
Temporary Vitality. When you assume your Hybrid Form, you gain temporary hit points equal to twice your character level. These temporary hit points disappear when your Hybrid Form ends.
-
Reversion. Your Hybrid Form ends when its duration expires, if you are incapacitated, or if you end it early as a bonus action. Ending the transformation early doesn't restore the expended use.
Animalistic Affinity
Whenever you assume your Hybrid Form, determine its Animalistic Affinity using the table below. At higher levels, you roll multiple d20s and choose which result manifests.

|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Black Bear | 11 | Lion |
| 2 | Alligator | 12 | Hyena |
| 3 | Snake | 13 | Blood Hawk |
| 4 | Wild Boar | 14 | Turtle |

| 7 | War Horse | 17 | Vulture |
| 8 | Badger | 18 | Bat |
