Improvised Weapon Master Image
Prerequisite: Level 4+

You turn the world around you into an armory, brutalizing foes with chairs, broken bottles, and whatever else isn't nailed down. You gain the following benefits:

  • Ability Score Increase. Increase your Strength, Dexterity, or Constitution score by 1, to a maximum of 20.
  • Debris Mastery. You are proficient with Improvised Weapons. When you wield an Improvised Weapon, it takes on the damage die and Mastery property of the simple or martial weapon it most closely resembles. For example, a shard of glass might gain the properties of a Dagger, a sturdy chair leg might gain the properties of a Club, and a heavy pitchfork might gain the properties of a Pike. You are considered proficient with the object even if you lack proficiency with the specific weapon it mimics. If the object doesn't resemble a weapon, its damage die is 1d6, and the DM determines whether it deals Bludgeoning, Piercing, or Slashing damage based on the object.
  • Makeshift Shield. You can use a suitable sturdy object—such as a barrel lid, a thick plank, or a heavy pan—as a Shield, and you are considered proficient with it while doing so.
  • Shattering Blow. Once per turn, when you hit a creature with an Improvised Weapon, you can choose to violently break the object over them. The object is destroyed, but the attack deals an extra 2d6 damage, and the target cannot take Reactions until the start of your next turn. Depending on the object, the DM might decide that destroying it leaves behind a remnant that functions as a new Improvised Weapon in your hand (such as a heavy glass bottle shattering into a makeshift Dagger, or a wooden chair breaking down into a Club).
