Fire of Hephaestus
Feat
Prerequisite: 4th Level+
You have learned to kindle the divine forge-fire of Hephaestus within your body, wreathing your weapons in searing flame at the cost of your own vitality.
Hephaestus's Flame
As a Magic action, you can awaken the fire within you. For 1 minute, you have Concentration on this effect, as if you were concentrating on a spell. While it lasts, each time you hit with a weapon attack, the attack deals extra Fire damage. The amount of extra damage depends on your level, as shown below.
| Character Level | Extra Fire Damage |
|---|---|
| 4th–9th | 1d6 |
| 10th–12th | 2d6 |
| 13th–15th | 3d6 |
| 16th+ | 4d6 |
The effect ends early if your Concentration ends or if you have the Incapacitated condition.
Forge's Toll
The power burns through your own vitality. At the end of each of your turns while Hephaestus's Flame is active, you take 2d6 Fire damage, plus 1d6 for each turn that has passed since you activated the flame. This damage can't be reduced or prevented in any way.
For example, at the end of your first turn after activation, you take 2d6 Fire damage. At the end of your second turn, you take 3d6, at the end of your third turn, you take 4d6, and so on.
You can use Hephaestus's Flame once per Long Rest.
