You have lost all or part of one of your legs. You suffer the following penalties:
- Your maximum long and high jump distances are halved. See the rules on Jumping in Chapter 8 of the PHB for more information.
- Your base walking speed is 20 feet.
- You suffer a -1 penalty to all Dexterity saving throws.
FLAW. This is a flaw feat. At your DM's discretion, you may take this feat at level 1. If you do, you may also gain a feat, or increase two of ability scores by +1 (or one by +2).

Posted Oct 15, 2021Would the armorer artificer's arcane armor negate the negative effects of this flaw, and if so would you keep the feat you took with it?

Posted Oct 16, 2021RAW it would, yes, as the class feature says "The armor replaces any missing limbs, functioning identically to a limb it replaces."
I would actually talk to the player about taking a different flaw feat if they were planning on going that route. IMO it's a bit of a cheesy powergamer move to take a flaw feat you can permanently negate at level 3.
Flaw feats are intended to be about creating a mechanical foundation for RP potential, so negating it so early is misaligned with their intention.
