Your double life as a quiet druid, an elusive underworld broker, and the shadow operating in Neverwinter’s gutters has fragmented your ego. Each piece of your identity takes on a distinct persona, drawing upon a different facet of your experiences and instincts. You can choose to step into one of these personae (or return to your unified self) at the end of a Short or Long Rest. The chosen persona remains active until your next rest.

The Druid (The Silent Warden)

Rooted in the quiet balance of nature, patience, and subtle magic.

  • Nature's Pulse: You gain a +1 bonus to your Spell Save DC and Spell Attack rolls for your Druid spells. You gain advantage on Wisdom (Perception) and Wisdom (Survival) checks.

  • Detached Demeanor: Your emotionless focus makes you slow to react to social nuances. You suffer disadvantage on Charisma (Persuasion), Charisma (Intimidation) and Charisma (Deception) checks.

R (The Shadow Broker)

Calculated, hyper-vigilant, and plugged into the secret networks of the city.

  • Eyes of the Network: You gain a +5 bonus to Passive Perception and Passive Investigation, and you have advantage on Intelligence (Investigation) and Charisma (Deception) checks. When gathering rumors or information in a settlement, the time required is halved.

  • Paranoid Isolation: Your obsession with secrecy makes you hesitant to trust or commit to upfront confrontation. You suffer disadvantage on Initiative rolls and Inside checks.

The Rat King (The Gutter Lord)

Feral, opportunistic, and commanding the desperate vermin of the dark.

  • Swarmkeeper’s Might: When you cast a spell or make a weapon attack that deals damage, you can add your Wisdom modifier as bonus damage. Furthermore, rats and small vermin within 30 feet will not attack you unless magically compelled.

  • Gutter Transformation (Flavor): Whenever you use Wild Shape while in this persona, your beast forms do not look like ordinary animals. Instead, they take on grotesque, rat-hybrid manifestations of the urban sewer network:

    • Brown Bear / Dire Wolf: A massive, hunched Rat-Bear or Gutter-Hound with coarse patchy fur, a long scaly tail, and overgrown yellow incisors.

    • Giant Spider: An unnatural, eight-limbed Arachnid-Rat covered in matted fur, possessing four eyes on each side of its twitching snout and dripping venomous fangs.

    • Giant Raven / Flying Forms: A leather-winged Sky-Rodent with clawed wings and a chittering beak-like mouth.

  • Uncouth Bearing: You embody the filth and ruthlessness of the sewers. You suffer disadvantage on all Charisma checks made against authority figures or high-society NPCs, and a -2 penalty to AC as you sacrifice defense for an aggressive posture.

The Shadow of the Nest (The Emergent Protector)

Manic and instinctive, this persona sleeps beneath the surface, rising only when life hangs by a thread.

Feral Reflex (Passive Trigger): If you are reduced to 0 Hit Points but not killed outright, you do not fall unconscious. Instead, this persona immediately manifests, leaving you at 1 Hit Point. (Once per Long Rest)

  • Frenzied Instincts: While in this state, your Movement Speed increases by 10 feet, your melee attacks deal a critical hit on a roll of 19 or 20, and you gain temporary hit points equal to your Druid level at the start of your turn.

  • Cost of the Surge: While this persona is active, you cannot cast spells of 1st level or higher, and you view all creatures (allies and enemies alike) with wild suspicion—you cannot willingly accept healing or buffs from party members until you drop to 0 HP again or take a Long Rest.
