Deafness

Whether you were born without hearing, or lost it at some point in your life, you have lived without the sense of hearing for some time.  While this does limit some things, you have learned and adapted

• You automatically fail any checks that rely on sound
• You have advantage against charm spells, as you cannot hear the caster's instructions
• you have resistance to thunder damage
• You can read lips, so if you can see the mouth of anyone around you, you can understand what they are saying
• After training your eyes ever since you lost your hearing you gain advantage on Wisdom (Perception) checks that rely on sight. In conditions of clear visibility, you can make out details of even extremely distant creatures and objects as small as 2 feet across.
