Prequisite: You must be a dragonborn with a dexterity score of 15 or higher.
Trough meditation and countless nights of practice, you have gained access to rare powers that very few dragonborn are able to achieve and you gain the following benefits.
- You can use your breath attack an extra 2 times before a rest.
- You can regain your breath attack on a short rest instead of a long one.
- You can also choose your elemental breath using attack before using it.

My bad, I ment to say," You can choose your type of elemental breath attack before using it."
I love this, but i think it should be boosting the dragons breath instead of giving it more.
Also, the dragons breath of a dragonborn as always came back as a short rest thus your second statement is of no use.
instead of giving more uses, i'd boost the dragons breath like it would a real dragon. after all they can only gain this at level 4.
so i would say this instead of 2 more charges...
I think this would be a much better interpretation as each dragon wyrmlings does more then the little this does. usually a dragonborn is not a dragon per say thus its worth doing less, but the damage doesn't scale well when you consider ancient dragons doing 20+ damage dice. the goal would be to tell that at maximum level, this dragonborn can do the equivalent of a fireball which is 8d6. instead of boosting th enumber of damage die which is cool and all, its just better to further the damage die instead. so we change the damage die to a d8 then a d10 and then a d12. which scales the damage a lot, but not as much as a real dragon. also the recharging makes him gain it more often. dragons actually recharge on a 5 and a 6. short rest is normal for aregular dragonborn, but for a more dragon like dragonborn. with kind of an inheritage. its better to make it recharge on a 6 only. that way he's not entirely dragon, but he's not dragonborn either.
i thin both of these would make a great way of doing it.
Um, since a dragonborn's breath weapon is due to their draconic heritage and not gained through practice(yes, they can strengthen it through practice, but they were born/made with the ability), a dragonborn would not be able to learn how to produce the elemental breath of other kinds of dragons simply by practicing. They would simply not have the physiology to produce a different type of breath.
