If a target is behind cover, Ray can negate the bonus to their Armor Class by bouncing the bullet off another surface to hit the target with a ricochet.
As a bonus action he can make a perception check to identify where to bounce the bullet. The DC changes depending on where he is and if there is something that can be used to ricochet the bullet off. After which he can make a standard attack roll and the target does not benefit from cover.
