You have learned techniques to enhance your unarmed strikes with certain kinds of spells, gaining the following benefits:
• Whenever you cast a spell that requires you to make a melee spell attack, and the target of the spell is within your unarmed striking distance, you can forgo the melee spell attack and instead make an unarmed strike against the target. If the attack hits, the target takes the damage from your unarmed strike and the effects of the spell apply.
• You learn one cantrip that requires a melee attack roll.
In addition, you learn one 1st-level spell that requires a melee attack roll or grants bonuses to melee attacks. You learn that spell and can cast it at its lowest level. Once you cast it, you must finish a long rest before you can cast it again.
You may choose these spells from any class’s spell list (they needn’t be from the same list).
Your spellcasting ability for these spells is the ability you use to make your unarmed strikes.
