When you roll a critical failure on any roll, you may use this feat to reroll. This only works on natural ones, for example, if you roll a natural 2 and have a -1 modifier, giving you a total of 1, you may not use this feat. You must use your rerolled number.

For each use, you have one Mark against you. You can have only a total of 3 Marks against you within a day (total resets after a long rest).

Your Marks against you trigger automatically whenever you roll a critical success on any roll. You must roll your dice again and use the new number. This only triggers on a natural 20, if you roll a 18 and have a +2 modifier, giving you a total of 20, this negative effect does not happen.

If you roll a critical failure, use this feat, and happen to roll a second critical failure, you are not able to use this feat again on that new roll. The same goes for Marks against you as well, if after rerolling a critical success, you roll another critical success, you do not need to reroll the second critical success (if you have accumulated more than one Mark) and it does not remove another Mark against.
