The swirling realms of the Elemental Chaos stretch far within the cosmos. In its lowest reaches, one may find weird and twisted expressions of the elements, corrupted by the Abyss they brush against. Genies who spend too long in this realm may become corrupted themselves, and pass this seed of corruption onto any Genasi offspring. 

   Abyssal Genasi start life as close to normal as any Genasi can expect. One day, however, the seed of corruption within them awakens, leaving them a dark reflection of their elemental heritage. Air become the empty Void, Earth channel the most virulent Plague, Fire fall to smoking Cinder, and Water turn to harsh Acid.

Prerequisite: Genasi

Your elemental ancestor was tainted by the power of the Abyss, causing you to manifest as a Void, Plague, Cinder, or Acid Genasi. You gain the following benefits:

• Increase your Constitution score by 1, to a maximum of 20.
• You have resistance to Necrotic damage.
• You can cast a spell once per short or long rest based on your subrace. Air: Silence, Earth: Ray of Sickness, Fire: Burning Hands, or Water: Acid Stream (UA). Constitution is your spellcasting ability for these spells.
